The PC and console version of PlayerUnknown s Battlegrounds may be lagging behind in the race against Fortnite, but the mobile version of the game is steaming ahead. PUBG PC and console versions have lagged behind the downloads and concurrent players as well as profits when it is compared against its biggest rival Fortnite. According to the game publisher Tencent Games, PUBG Mobile which was launched back in March 19 has just crossed 100 million downloads on iOS and Android. In these four months PUBG Mobile has managed to achieve the milestone of having over 14 million daily active users. And this list excludes players from China, Japan and Korea. It helps to have constant updates in the game and some features and cosmetic items that are not even present in the PC and console versions of the game. There are new game modes added frequently and additional maps, which gives the game a lot of variety. Recently, the developers held a Mission: Impossible crossover event along with the release of the movie which kept the hype machine of the game going.

The biggest competitor of PUBG Mobile, Fortnite s mobile version has just been launched on Android devices and is right now on a limited number of devices and is invite only. The iOS version of Fortnite is still in its beta phase, though has made more profits. These factors combined have made life easier for PUBG Mobile.
